A marvellous coffee table by Austrian architect and designer Oswald Haerdtl manufactured in the 1950ies. This understated table impresses with a number of stylistic subtleties, such as an elliptical shaft. The slightly convex long sides and the slightly concave broad sides of the top, followed by an discreet inlaid line, also give evidence of excellent craftsmanship. Finally, the brass foot, probably unique in its design language, is a product of the Werkstätte Hagenauer, Vienna.
